This is my Slicer program. It converts models into printable code.

could you get it to me in .stl if possible? Not that that helps upload it to minichan but it might make it easier to print.

I printed a headless cat. It messed up because I had the spool facing the wrong way.

Trying again now.

Try printing the tugboat stress test! Also, try a small 1 inch cube to check dimensional accuracy

The manual says to complete their test cat before printing anything else.

i will do those soon, after printing a couple parts i need for the printer.

It looks fine, move on. ABS or PLA?

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 3 months ago, 2 minutes later, 3 hours after the original post[^] [v] #850,868

@previous (H)
PLA, i also have a spool or two of PETG. A bit scared to print with the PETG at first.

A buddy of mine uses octoprint because it's some sort of in browser slicer and he can control the printer remotely, and has a camera set up to watch his prints at home while at work and he can stop them if it craps out. He prints with PLA exclusively.

I use Simplify3D because it's awesome and the crack is readily available. I haven't fired my printer up in a long time

Yeah I've heard of octoprint. It runs on a raspberry pi. It's like my next step after learning the basics.

I'm using cura right now.

What 3D modeling software are you learning?

Blender.

Good luck with that. Pirate some CAD software. Or if you don't want to do that, sign up for an OnShape public plan

They just want you to use up all your filament so you have to buy more.

That's a great idea: inkjet printers should force you to print Moby Dick on the first boot to "test" the cartridges 😂
