Meta is so jelly. He's so fat, stupid, and poor. No wonder he hates Apple™. It's because he's intimidated by fruits, too stupid to use it, and too poor to even afford it. 😂

i'm holding out for the galaxy note 8 probably. i've got a note 2 and it's been the best phone i've owned by a long shot. i bought it new too, so it's i guess 6 years old now. didn't really start giving me big problems until about a year ago was probably when i first complained about lagginess and glitchiness. the plan was to buy a note 7 but those exploded. so as long as the 8 doesn't explode then i'll be getting one more than likely. unless it really sucks, which could be the case i guess, i haven't looked at phones in a long time. my brother has an s8 or whatever is most current and he loves it, but i don't like the curved screen. watching him fumble with the edges and misclick shit all the time has me wondering if the wrap around edge screens are just a fad. they also have a thickness, or a depth to the screen which makes them look... like the screen has depth, idk, it's kinda weird.

edit: why an iphone? what new features have they added since, oh, say the 3g one back in... i guess like 2008?

oh. wait. nevermind. i just read a few threads below and i guess this is part of trolling meta. is there even an iPhone X™? and can we just turn this into a real thread about phones cause i need to buy a new phone soon.

squeegee double-posted this 1 week ago, 8 minutes later, 22 minutes after the original post[^] [v] #812,871

ok, you know what? fuck you, this is now a real thread about phones. post about your phones, talk about your phones and recommend me phones. interesting side topics can include but aren't limited to conversations about why i should choose your phone as my next phone, or even just discussing the specific feature set of your phone. Like i've already stated, i have an antique galaxy note 2 that does the job, but it's quite laggy with internet apps and kinda glitchy. mostly it just loads pages very slowly, interestingly it sometimes loads gifs slower than video. i have no clue why, but it's not the most reliable web browser. it remains an exceptional note taker, though. i bought it specifically for the included internally stored stylus, which is a killer app imho, because i sketch up a lot of stuff at work and take down measurements and specifications and it's like carrying a notebook everywhere. it's great.

how about y'all? what do you like about your phone, and why would you recommend it to someone?

You know what gets me, Apple makes all these really thin phones, and then people put their iPhones in those giant rubber OtterBox cases because they're afraid of damaging it.

If they're that fragile and people put them in cases anyway, why not just build all that rubber padding into the phone??

oh it is a real thing. i looked at it. they seem to be trying out a few new features like the "no button" thing and facial recognition. is there already a phone out there that doesn't have a home button? idk, i'd probably wait to see what people actually say about it. and the unlocking it by looking at it sounds kinda iffy. it uses "machine learning" and a "neural chip" to train the phone to recognize you as you age, change clothes, and grow a beard... that actually sounds amazing. i'll wait to see what the early adopters say about it though.

edit: oh yeah, but that would only have bearing on my opinion on if i think it's "cool" or not, it doesn't have an internal stylus so i've already marked it a hard no.

The S8 is fine as far as phones go. If my Nexus 5X didn't die I would be fine with that still, it's the same size as the S8 and has the fingerprint unlock which I really like.
I've recently put on a screen protector and put the phone in a case and now it sucks a whole lot more. It's an expensive and very slippery phone. Apparently that curved screen breaks easy and it has a fragile glass back for induction charging.
Not all of those chargers are created equally either, I have a cheap charging pad that only slows the battery draining and can't actually charge it.
At some point I think phone and pants manufacturers should get together and talk about pocket sizes though.

Matt, you are overpaying for an electrical device that does almost the exact same thing as any other cheaper Android tablet does. This does not make you intelligent, this does not make you a king, this only makes you a sucker for marketing.

lol you're too poor for an iPhone X. They make monthly payment plans available for people like you.
