Thing s keep sliding in front of the words so I cannot focus on what the letters are shaped like

Did you eat before exercising? Have you been eating well recently? Are you exerting yourself too hard?

Not straight before but a few hours before, I've been trying to bulk up lately so I'm eating quite well and I think that last one is it because I did a moderately intense workout today

Think it's a migraine according to hoordegoogle. Never had one before.

The only cure for a migraine is decapitation. You will be missed.

One is supposed to work up to a routine slowly. When I overdo it I end up dizzy after sitting down for a while. But like you I looked up the symptoms of
> flashing lights in my eyes

So if you don't get that headache just write it off as weird. They do say do not start an exercise program without first seeing a doctor but that is crap EXCEPT one should first do a blood pressure test to see where you are at. Not good to have real high blood pressure and then add more with exercise. You can bring it wayyyyy down but that takes a slow work up - At the gym I see people dropping with 911 need and I bet its more about HIGH BP but that is just a guess

seeing spots after workouts is pretty common dude. not hard to stop either.

drink a fuck load of water. like lots more than you actually think you need. i used to do weight training and drinking enough water was something the coaches drilled into us. even if you don't have a serious routine and just work with weights periodically, when you do you need to be flushing your system out at the same time. you want to be taking piss breaks between sets, lol. okay, so like really you'll be sweating it out mostly, but still, you want lots of water to be flowing through you so that lactic acid will have someplace to accumulate and, uh, like go.

hydrate and warm up, too, before lifting. i really used to enjoy cycling, just like the stationary bikes, because it's super low impact, gets your blood pumping, and doesn't get you into a state where you're burning muscle while you're lifting. it can be counter-productive to do too much cardio before you lift, or even have big cardio days when you're doing bulking routines. i also liked rowing machines to warm up the arms and abs, but those are quite a workout so i usually did about 15 minutes on a bike, just kinda riding until i got my heartrate up and got to sweating a bit. then i'd do a few sets of pushups and inclined situps for core warmup and arms. and you should be hydrating like a motherfucker through this too. hydrate hydrate hydrate.

then you're ready to lift weights. when you're full of water and feeling warm. it's also an awesome idea to take vitamins. avoid the stupid GNC bullshit if that place even exists anymore and don't bother with supplements, just a good quality multivitamin.

also, when you're lifting you want to stay warm. don't let yourself cool down too much between sets or between exercises. use your breathing to determine your exertion. if you're gulping for air, or otherwise couldn't carry on a conversation easily, then take enough of a break that you get you breathing back and can talk without panting. breathing heavy and deep is fine, but panting is too much exertion and you're likely to just be burning and not bulking. do like the yoga people and concentrate on taking full deep regular breaths. your muscles need a fuckload of oxygen and water to operate well when lifting weights. and keep hydrating the whole time you're lifting. if you gotta piss you're doing it right.

after you're done with your last set, it's important to cool down. i always walked it off. it's low impact, not strenuous, and helps get your legs in order after leg days. if you bike more (especially on leg days) there's a good chance you won't stand up with any ease. just walk and breathe and hydrate. i'd usually walk a couple laps around the building, or the track or whatever they got, and just drink water until i stop with the exercise breathing and just breathe normally.

and keep hydrating. it's the best thing you can do before, during and after your workout.

and eating is pretty important too. if you're getting low blood sugar when you work out that'd do it as well. you do want to be really well fed when you're doing weight lifting, your body uses a lot of sugar when you're exercising and it's not hard to get hypoglycemia. you might consider eating something like an hour before you workout, or take a protein bar with you to the gym. i would always get a protein bar and a huge thing of water before i went to the gym. the protein bars are these dense and massive things that taste vaguely of chocolate and cardboard, but they had like 21g of protein or something like that. it was like eating 3 or 4 eggs.

so yeah, eat a big meal an hour or so before you workout to stop any hypoglycemia, and drink a fuck load of water to stop with any dehydration headaches and lactic acid buildup. and don't skip warmup and cooldown. that really should stop the spots in your vision.

Sorry to hear that. I cut down my daily miles of running on the beach in order to hit the gym. Without my MP-3 and or CNN the treadmill wood be a drag.
Prior2 I could just NOT get rid of that extra 1.5 inches to pinch - Now not one micro inch left to pinch.
