my favorite beer right now is sierra nevada's otra vez. it tastes like cactus soda and is great for day drinking

i was gonna post a picture but all i could find was this goku png

Anonymous B triple-posted this 6 months ago, 5 minutes later, 13 minutes after the original post[^] [v] #785,280

It tastes like cucumber soda but also kind of beer-y. the sourness is kind of subdued which is good bc i'm not a big fan of these sour beers. optimal
i like when beers taste like soda because then it's like a soda without the sweetness plus natural effervescence and they get me buzzed so it's like problem??
i'm going to start drinking at work

edit:

how is "so it's like problem??" a way to end that sentence what does that mean
im not even drunk yet

usually i'd agree with you but it's unusual for beer. to be expected for cucumber beer tho

> > i like when beers taste like soda

the keyword is beer there
i've tried a couple of those hard sodas and stupid shit like that but they're usually very gross. too sweet. i even saw 'hard sparkling water' the other day. was very confused, didn't try
but beer with fruit seems like nature soda. also ciders. fruity ciders

Even worse, when you do the math there's only about one bottle of wine worth of alcohol in the whole six pack :(

Cucumber beer shouldn't exist. I hate you for buying it and hate you more for drinking it. Thanks

A couple of reviews.

A-A normal pour produces about a finger of white foam. The retention is OK and the head leaves a little bit of fine lacing on the glass as I drink. The beer beneath the head is an unattractive yellow with a bit of haze to it. Some champagne-like carbonation is visible.

S-The aroma is heavy on the cucumber, which has a seriously sweet flavor to it; almost like candy. I also sniff some lemon and lime tartness and just a hint of light funk that reminds me of cheese. Weird stuff, but not awful.

T-The taste is also heavy on the cucumber. It is a bit fake tasting with a lot of candy-like sweetness to go with the cucumber flavors. The lemon-lime flavors remind me of Sprite or 7-Up and the only flavor that is close to normal beer is the mild lactic acidity that fades to a grainy finish.

M-The beer is light and effervescent on the palate. Carbonation is fine and bubbly. Like soda.

------------------------------------

O-The can says this beer is trying to introduce people to sours and ride the wave of popularity for sour beers, but this stuff hardly tastes like beer. Nevertheless, if it weren't so sweet, it would be pretty refreshing and the light body does, indeed, make it crushable.

Pours clear and very pale with plenty of bubbles and a soft head of white foam that falls away completely. Nose is fresh with cucumber peel. Hop pepper and a bit of something tart. The malt can be seen on the nose. A delicate cracker. Hop floral is sweet to the nose. Drinks very refreshing.l At first it reminds me of a jolly rancher or a candy. The sour aspect just puckers you a little at the very end but it blends so well with hop bitterness that you do not even really notice it at first. Hop pepper at the very end. Lively bubbles this beer is refreshing.

OH Oh

We Taste Tested Crappy Boxed Wine to Prove that Franzia is Actually the Worst
It's wine o'clock somewhere.

I don’t know about you, but boxed wine plays a pretty important role in my life. That’s exactly why I decided to recruit five of my closest friends to come to the ultimate conclusion of which brand reigns supreme.

In order to be fair, the Franzia vs. Vella taste test was blind and each sample was rated on a scale of 1-5.

The Scale

I would rather take a shot with no chaser than drink this
If the party was dry and the wine was free, then maybe I’d consider it
I’d slap the bag
I would shower in this on my honeymoon
I would choose this over water on a deserted island

Chillable Red Franzia

I was actually shocked that Franzia’s red wine beat out Vella’s. If there’s one thing Franzia does right, it’s their Chilled Red. I felt as classy as you can feel while drinking a sample of boxed wine out of a shot glass.

“I think I drank this when I went to I’m Shmacked… I remember chugging it out of a coffee mug.”
“If I had my way this wouldn’t even make it on this list.”
“This is something to my mom would drink.”
“You drink this to get drunk, but you don’t enjoy it.”
“I’d take a shot of this in my eyeball.” (what?)

yeah $7.50 is for the cheapest pack
you can definitely end up paying near to or more than $10 for a pack
it is inconvenient spending like ten or fifteen minutes to roll a buncha smokes before you go out tho

i'm rolling viceroy and it's shit
waiting for the pack to run out to buy drum
