The only STEM degree that you only need one degree to get a job in the thing is engineering. The others don't let you be a scientist or whatever with just one degree. They should mention that to the kids, "oh by the way you need a fuckin PhD to actually do this thing so if you find trigonometry to be a bit much now then it's going to be an uphill climb let me tell you".

Also, to be a doctor, you have to be good at remembering a lot of things. A LOT

They also need to mention that enginnering doesn't mean the guy that drives the steam trains that by the way they don't use anymore

STEAM can be rearranged to spell MEATS

I'm suspicious. How can you be studying Classics and not even have heard of Catullus, despite having studied 'the history side of things'?

Yes, I studied Classics, which is why I'm suspicious of what you're claiming about your education now. Catullus was "never an important figure"? Literary figures "don't figure into the history side" of the Augustan era (i.e the zenith of so-called Classical Civilisation)? Ovid, Virgil, these guys are unimportant to our understanding of Roman history? Sorry but you're bullshitting. If you were actually studying Classics in a proper university (i.e not some modern worthless degree factory), you would know who Catullus was, regardless of your 'double major'.

There's no such thing as 'pure history', no subject is studied in a vacuum, especially history, which involves necessary elements of geography, politics and literature (especially when studying Classical Civilisation - how can you study the Trojan War, for example, without studying the Illiad and the Odyssey?). Your school is a Mickey Mouse one I'm afraid.

Which is why it's a Mickey Mouse university, dear. If you were actually studying Classics you would be studying these from day one in conjunction with "pure history" (sic).

There's no way around this for you I'm afraid. You claimed to be studying Classics and you didn't know who Catullus was. This is like someone studying the High Renaissance and not knowing who Raphael was. Either you are lying (which I doubt) or your university is a modern liberal degree factory which churns out ill-educated young people for the fast food job market. You are wasting your time there. Modern refers to ethos, not date of founding. The University of Baghdad was founded in 1067, one would hardly call it modern. By modern I mean they focus on doling out worthless qualifications rather than knowledge; they focus on making sure all students graduate at all costs rather than preparing young minds to gather, analyse, evaluate and interpret information.

They will all pass, trust me. Now stop justifying your Mickey Mouse college and go read some Catullus, Propertius, and the incomparable pastoral elegies of Virgil.

Uh
If the class average is a fail
How do you think that most people are passing them?
Fuck I know like one person who hasn't failed a class yet

Yeah and by the way, if you went to anything other than a Mickey Mouse university which allows anyone to enter provided they can pay, this wouldn't be the case.

One doesn't need "credentials" to know that someone claiming to study Classics at a proper university ought to know who Catullus was, no more than someone needs "credentials" to know that someone claiming to study French literature ought to know who Victor Hugo was.

Which classes are people likely to fail?

surprisingly, management courses
Faculty Department Number Average Semester Credits
Management CMSC 101 D W16 3
Management MGCR 273 D F17 3

but i know people fail lots of math, biology, chem, physics classes, and classes that require a lot of reading/writing

you seem to almost be rationalizing that you potentially failing some of your courses is 'okay' because you see several others doing so..

it has always struck me that you are exceptionally bright and gifted...just saying..

you need to rise above the norm and shoot for the stars...and leave average thinking behind..

I studied Calculus. Dare say my wallet is much fuller than if I had read Catullus.

So in this "world-recognized" college that you claim to attend, "lots" of students fail math, science, and any subject which requires the ability to read and write? Yeah, it's a Mickey Mouse diploma factory, sweetheart.

Stay out of this please. You're likely ignorant of even Propertius, let alone Catullus.
