to his fans, for starters. he lied to them, and still does to this day. he continues to insist russia had nothing to do with the DNC emails, and now we know they were directly involved.

online speculation has it that Assange has been under the influence of russia since at least the Panama Papers, likely they're threatening to have the Ecuadorian's kick him out of their Embassy and turn him over to the west for prosecution. but, he continues to lie and use his followers for personal gain which at the same time strongly helps russia's propaganda efforts abroad. he's no longer about government transparency, but instead about causing as much harm to democracy as can be done. he's a traitor to his own principles, a traitor to his followers, and a traitor to democracy. he's also a coward, but, he was a coward when he was first hiding out in embassys too. but now he's just craven.

and a rapist.

That's a huge assumption old man. Also taking off a condom during sex may be a shitty thing to do but isn't rape.

Didn't you read? Online speculation.

squeegee replied with this 1 week ago, 2 minutes later, 12 hours after the original post[^] [v] #748,986

@748,970 (B)
oh, well i'm not making that assumption. the FBI and the CIA and the NSA are the ones claiming russian interference with the wikileaks stuff, and the online speculation about why it's happening is just speculation. could be he's just pissed about being called a criminal and is using damaging leaks to harm the administration that's forced him to live in a bedroom. who knows why he's colluding with the russians? all i know is i trust the FBI, the NSA and the CIA.

and he's a traitor to democracy IF the scenario laid out is true. if he's really working with the russians to discredit democracy then that makes him a traitor. even if he's doing it under threat. he could choose to go down a martyr for his beliefs and actually work to promote government transparency even if that means he goes to jail, but instead it seems like while under threat he's been manipulated into smearing one side to promote the interests of another while lying about the very act of doing it. that's the opposite of transparency. by allowing himself to be made into a weapon to be used against democracy he is a traitor to democracy. but that's more of a philosophical allegation than anything.

all i really know is that it's got to suck to be assange. he did a bunch of arguably stupid shit and doesn't want to own up to the consequences. that makes him an easy target for manipulation, tbh. i doubt he's going to be leading a very long life. his cup of polonium tea is probably not far off.

Assange is honeypotting the Russians right now, the US and Russia are very different places and require him to take part in two separate operations.

You see it as him becoming evil Hitler guy, but nobody ever really does that, he would not do that.

Maybe instead, he is a man who wants to cleanse democracy of filth and corruption, by destroying the head of the hydra. Donald Trump is going to change the way politics works, one way or the other. And this leaves an interesting opening, because Russia now believes that it has a proven asset in Assange, when actually all they're doing is inviting him in to exactly the place he needs to be. He's fucking super cool and crazy enough to pull it off.

> oh, well i'm not making that assumption
Yes you are. You specifically called him a traitor to democracy here.

> could be he's just pissed about being called a criminal and is using damaging leaks to harm the administration that's forced him to live in a bedroom.
Personal speculation about motives.

> who knows why he's colluding with the russians?
Loaded question.

> all i know is i trust the FBI, the NSA and the CIA.
Great, I'm sure you do.

> and he's a traitor to democracy IF the scenario laid out is true.
So you are making that that assumption you said you weren't making earlier?

> if he's really working with the russians to discredit democracy then that makes him a traitor. even if he's doing it under threat. he could choose to go down a martyr for his beliefs and actually work to promote government transparency even if that means he goes to jail, but instead it seems like while under threat he's been manipulated into smearing one side to promote the interests of another while lying about the very act of doing it.
If...

> by allowing himself to be made into a weapon to be used against democracy he is a traitor to democracy. but that's more of a philosophical allegation than anything.
I'm smelling a lot of "if" coming off of this.

> all i really know is that it's got to suck to be assange.
It probably does.

> he did a bunch of arguably stupid shit and doesn't want to own up to the consequences. that makes him an easy target for manipulation, tbh. i doubt he's going to be leading a very long life. his cup of polonium tea is probably not far off.
It's not implausible, but, again, mostly this sounds like conspiracy theory grade shit. It's just speculation and spin until there's some solid evidence.

@748,986 (squeegee)
And the laughing continues. Have you read the declassified released report? They aren't even hiding that they are full of bullshit. There's 0 evidence in the report and it's full of "we believe" "our assumptions" "probably". For a report that 424928 government agencies worked on, it's a sloppy piece of shit. If you had such "references" and "evidence" to back your master thesis, every college on this planet would fail you.

Can't wait for the press conference tomorrow for this shit to unfold. I hope they got some heavy metal cannon fodder and that the mainstream media will pick up on it.
