Topic: Does anyone else here split their sleep up with daily naps?

I know I do. It leaves me refreshed and alert the whole day!

I wish I could. I'm a trucker so getting as many miles a day as possible is better. But on the occasion I do get sleepy, I do pull off and take an hour nap.

I know exactly how you feel. I sometimes take naps when I've played too much Euro Truck Simulator

In college I split my sleep up into two three-hour blocks. That's kind of like two long naps per day.

Yes. It is the best way.

I tried it once. It left me groggy and expecting to sleep every so often. It also made me gain weight because my metabolism was always wondering whether or not to sleep, and plus eating anytime near going to sleep makes weight gain all the more. So I quit that.

Sorry to have to give you this advice, Walter.

I generally find running at least one mile in the evening and living in a quiet home (not apartment) will let me get a good refreshing sleep all day. You should try that Walter.

Syntax runs ultra marathons in his spare time and spits in the face of olympic athletes, one mile joggers are dead to him.

This - it's supposedly how we've always slept before electricity, two seperate sleeps rather than one long one. I hear it's healthier somehow but I forget, likeley because my sleeping "pattern" involves... well never mind it's just fucked

I may take a nap later today. I've got a before-noon class today, and I'm pretty much non-functional before ~10:30 am on a regular day.

I have some sleep issues. No matter how much I've slept, I can continue sleeping. No matter how much I've slept, I'm still tired.
At this point I've given up.

You don't, it's an exhausting life. It's kind of ridiculous when you have to stay up all night, fueled by caffeine/Concerta, because if you sleep you'll sleep through any amount of alarms.
